About the job Tax Manager / Senior Manager Private Client (PCS)

Location: Guernsey - Crown Dependencies

Overview

We’re seeking a Private Client Tax Manager and a Senior Manager to join our clients Family Office and Private Client team. With a focus on both tax compliance and advisory work the role also includes opportunities for business development and cross-team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Guernsey and UK tax compliance for individuals, trusts, and related structures, including preparation and review of returns such as UK Self-Assessment, ATED, NRCGT, and relevant Guernsey tax filings.
  • Deliver written tax advice on income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and cross-border issues.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as their main tax point of contact.
  • Collaborate with other tax teams (e.g. international, corporate, AEOI) and business services teams.
  • Support business development, prepare proposals, and attend networking events.
  • Oversee job budgets, WIP, billing, and collections.
  • Train, mentor, and supervise junior staff.
  • Stay current on tax law changes and contribute to client alerts and technical updates.
Qualifications
  • ACA, CA, ACCA, CTA, ATT or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in a practice environment handling personal and fiduciary tax matters.
  • Proficient in Guernsey and UK personal tax, including income, CGT, IHT, and trust taxation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and clients independently.
