A little bit about the role...

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Systems Analyst to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing, designing, and implementing systems that enhance our operational efficiency. This position requires a strong understanding of both IT infrastructure and software development, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business needs.

Duties

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze system requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Design and implement system architecture that supports service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles, utilizing tools such as Pegasystems and AWS.
  • Conduct systems engineering tasks, including system design, administration, and optimization of IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Implement load balancing strategies and ensure robust computer networking practices are followed.
  • Manage databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server while ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Utilize scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), and Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) using Agile methodologies to deliver projects efficiently.
  • Ensure information security measures are in place across all systems, including the management of firewalls and VPNs.
  • Engage in DevOps practices to streamline deployment processes using CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Git.
  • Support virtualization technologies such as VMware and ESXi to optimize resource utilization within the IT environment.

Candidates should possess a strong background in computer science or a related field with experience in the following areas:

  • Proficiency in operating systems including Windows and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases and RESTful APIs for system integration.
  • Understanding of Kubernetes for container orchestration and management of microservices architectures.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, load balancing techniques, and firewall configurations is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of solution architecture principles is a plus, along with hands-on experience in system administration tasks.
