Be part of a new era in communications, transforming connectivity with Eutelsat Group - the world's first GEO-LEO integrated global satellite operator.

As a global leader in satellite communications, we provide infinite connectivity, broadcasting television channels and packages, transmitting news reports, provide wholesale broadband Internet access services.

With Eutelsat Group You'll Get To:

  • Pioneer the future of Space Technology
  • Bring connectivity to remote frontiers
  • Collaborate with customer-centric experts
  • Embrace cultural diversity in our global team
Where your skills ignite opportunities & you will elevate your skills in a stretching, rewarding, and meaningful environment. At Eutelsat Group, we're united by inclusion and diversity, striving for gender balance and social responsibility, on Earth and in Space.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Systems Modelling Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in the modelling and simulation of our Current and Next Generation communication systems. In this position, you'll sit within the End-to-End Systems Engineering organization and work closely with the systems architecture team, software engineering, operations, and the commercial side of the business. You'll contribute directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within an organization that values growth, teamwork, and professional development.

Who You Are:
You're a whiz in all things systems engineering and systems modelling, who can identify connections and dependencies in highly complex systems. You combine your strong technical background with programming to develop, validate, and maintain system models of varying scope and fidelity to meet the needs of the engineering organisation and the wider business. You're a capable self-starter and love to learn. You're sparked by a fast pace, with new challenges, and the opportunity to learn/invent new techniques. You're a self-motived creative thinker who works collaboratively and is ready to produce results. You can produce rigorous, model-based analyses and can explain the results to both technical and non-technical audiences. You possess superb communications skills with the ability to work across organisational boundaries.

What You'll Do:
• Perform modelling analyses to support the specification and design of Eutelsat Group's Next-Gen payloads, platforms, and ground network.
• Adapt and update existing modelling tools to design new CONOPS for the optimisation of the current operational system.
• Perform modelling analyses of end-to-end system level performance and present the results to a wider (sometimes non-technical) audience.
• Draw conclusions from modelling analysis results on how subsystem and system level performance could be improved and provide technical feedback to the relevant stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with the rest of the System Modelling and Tooling team to continue the development of our in-house system performance simulators.

What You'll Need:
• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aerospace engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Maths. Masters degree preferred.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and validating software models of complex systems.
• A strong technical understanding of JULIA or Python, and experience with other coding languages (MATLAB, C++, SQL).
• Hands-on experience developing and running PHY layer models for communication systems (preferably satellites) including signal processing, channel modelling, and error detection and correction.
• Experience with network simulators and packet layer modelling.
• A technical understanding of RF communications engineering.
• Experience working with LEO/MEO/GEO satellite communication systems and their CONOPS.
• Knowledge of current 3GPP standards.
• Experience developing software collaboratively as part of a team and the associated software development techniques and best practices.
• A collaborative nature and strong ability to communicate across multiple stakeholder levels and work across organisational boundaries.

Where You'll Work:
Our team is currently based out of three different locations, any of these are potential options:
• London, UK.
• Paris, France.
• Turin, Italy.
Some travel required.
