Job Summary

To manage product requirements, specifications & their compliance throughout the product development cycle using validation & verification processes.

Scope of Responsibilities
  1. Work within a cross-functional project team of up to 20 people, including external teams/suppliers for work package management and development.
  2. Report directly to the Project Technical Integrator.
  3. Provide analysis, data, and documents to team members and the Project Technical Integrator, including validation & verification KPIs, verification plans with full requirements traceability, design specifications for sub-systems, compliance matrices & KPIs, and requirements traceability matrices.
  4. Liaise with the project team to coordinate requirements validation and compliance status, and create robust verification plans.
  5. Travel within the UK or internationally as required to liaise with stakeholders and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Manage engineering project requirements, ensuring documentation and traceability as per the Requirements Management Plan.
  2. Capture & validate stakeholder requirements, review with Subject Matter Experts and Test Engineers.
  3. Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure timely completion of validation & verification activities.
  4. Develop and agree on product verification strategies with stakeholders.
  5. Provide status reports on requirements, compliance, validation, and verification.
  6. Create and maintain product specifications for internal and customer approval.
  7. Coordinate with Engineering Design / DMU configurator for product configuration management.
  8. Manage Interfaces / Definition Control Models to ensure requirements traceability.
  9. Support engineering change processes and proposals during NPI projects.
Job Requirements

Knowledge, Experience, Training, and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical, Chemical, Software, or Computer Engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an engineering development project team (Design, Stress, Manufacturing, or Certification Engineering).
  • At least 1 year of experience in Systems Engineering requirements management, validation & verification.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods is desirable.
  • Experience in progressing DFMEA with cross-functional teams is desirable.
