Job summary

A respected utility and civil engineering company in Northern Ireland is looking for an experienced administrator to join their office team. This role involves creating internal references for jobs, notifying services of planned works, and managing complex data with an exceptional eye for detail. Candidates should possess at least 1 year of administrative experience and strong communication skills. A full driving license is required due to office location. Salary is dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create internal LA references for incoming jobs from NI Water.
  • Notify Road Service of planned works and liaise with the traffic management team.
  • Update system with status updates to ensure timely task closure.

Morrow Contracts has been established for over 40 years and is one of the most respected utility and civil engineering companies in Northern Ireland.

Working in partnership with NI Water we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator with an exceptional eye for detail to join our office based team

Key Responsibilities
  • Create internal LA references as jobs come in from NI Water
  • Notify Road Service of planned works, mark maps with coordinates and liaise with traffic management team
  • Ensure all future excavations are updated on the System in a timely manner
  • Attach maps and insert comments on the symology system
  • Handle complex data with excellent attention to detail and correct where required
  • Liaise with supervisors sharing details of closed / restricted / private roads
  • Update the system with "status updates" to ensure work is also closed off within a specific timeframe and where required, replan excavation dates
  • Ensure any delays, updates and job details are accurately recorded
  • Check photographs and paperwork for completeness
  • Any other ad hoc duties as required
About The Role
Required experience
  • Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task, manage a range of conflicting priorities and work on own initiative
  • Confident telephone manner
  • A minimum of 1 year’s administrative experience in a busy office environment, working to tight deadlines
  • GCSE / GCE 'O' level in English and Maths (Grade A-C) or equivalent, IT literate
Preferred experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of geographical systems such as Aurora, Symology, ARC Gis and LSBud is desired but not essential. Training will be provided where necessary.

Working hours, Monday to Friday : 08.00 : 17.00

Full licence and own car due to location of office
