Location: Auchentibber Resource Centre, Blantyre
Hours: 35 hours per week, fixed term for 12 months
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday
Salary: £50,622 - £51,370 per year

Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our South Lanarkshire Justice Service management team. We are seeking to recruit a full‑time team leader for our Unpaid Work Service. The position will be for a temporary 12‑month period, with potential for extension.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a Justice Social Work team containing both qualified Social Work staff and paraprofessionals.
  • Supervise staff, allocate work, provide quality control and improvement.
  • Chair multi‑agency meetings.
  • Contribute to continuous development and improvement of Justice Social Work services.
  • Ensure effective delivery to national and local standards for the benefit of service users and the wider community.
  • Manage a budget, analyse data and provide reports and feedback to senior managers.
Qualifications
  • Experience of social work management or experience as a qualified social worker with interest in managerial roles.
  • Experience or interest in leading and managing services, staff leadership and development.
  • Ability to work well as part of a busy team supporting people in conflict with the law.
  • Recent experience (within the last 12 months) of managing or having oversight of statutory Justice orders.
  • Degree in Social Work (or relevant equivalent).
  • Registered with the SSSC, current PVG and Disclosure checks completed.
