Job Title: Swimming Instructor Level 2

Location: Ebbw Vale & Abertillery Sport Centre

Salary: Grade 6 SCP 26 £37,280 FTE, £19.32 per hour

Hours: 5.5 hours (Tredegar) & 3 hours (Abertillery Sunday)

Overview

Aneurin Leisure is seeking a Level 2 Swimming Instructor internal, focusing on our Learn to Swim programme. The successful candidate will lead the swimming education of participants, overseeing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality swimming lessons to all who access our programme within Blaenau Gwent.

We are looking for an inspired and dedicated swimming instructor to join our sport and fitness team. As a swimming instructor for Aneurin Leisure, you will assist in delivering swimming lessons across Blaenau Gwent, with a start date that is ongoing.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, coordinate, and deliver high-quality swimming lessons.
• Adapt teaching and learning strategies and select appropriate resources to meet the needs of the learners and the swimming pathway.
• Monitor performance, ensure punctuality, and manage data related to swim lesson provisions.
• Lead, develop, and motivate participants to achieve their learning goals.
• Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Adopt a flexible approach to teaching.
