Overview

We are looking for Swimming Teachers for Bradley Stoke Active Lifestyle Centre! Your role will include...

Responsibilities

• Teaching swimming to the required program
• Keeping records of the learners' achievements
• Ensuring that lessons are set up and cleared away in line with Circadian Trust procedures
• Maintaining a safe environment at all times following health and safety guidance
• Supporting environmental systems and promoting healthy lifestyles
• Be a good communicator and have knowledge of current health and safety legislation
• Take pride in your work, are always on time, organised and totally reliable
• Receive excellent training, career development and the opportunity to work with like-minded people

Available hours

Up to 25.5 hours per week

• Monday 3.30pm - 6.30pm
• Tuesday 4.00pm - 6.00pm
• Tuesday 4.00pm - 7.00pm
• Tuesday 4.00pm - 6.00pm
• Thursday 4.00pm - 6.00pm
• Friday 4.00pm - 7.00pm
• Saturday 3.30pm - 6.30pm
• Sunday 10.30am - 12.30pm
• Sunday 3.00pm - 7.30pm
• Sunday 4.30pm - 7.30pm

Pay and qualifications

• Pay = £14.56 (L1), £17.37 (L2) per hour
• Please note that we no longer accept Swim England Level 1 qualifications. If you hold this qualification, we are happy to consider your application, but we will request that you attend an STA Level 2 Award course prior to starting your role with us. A poolside assessment may be required as part of the interview process.
• You can arrange to attend a course yourself, or we can arrange for you to attend one of our in-house courses.
• If offered a contracted role and you qualify with us, we will fund 100% of the STA Level 2 Award course subject to signing a training agreement. If offered a casual role and you qualify with us, we will fund 50% of the course subject to signing a training agreement.
• STA Qualified Candidates: The STA has two Level 2 qualifications – the Level 2 Award and the Level 2 Certificate. The Certificate is a higher qualification. We refer to teachers who are Award qualified as Level 1 (paid at Level 1 rate) and teachers with the Certificate as Level 2 (paid at Level 2 rate).
