Job summary

A leading global retail organization is seeking an experienced Environmental & Sustainability Manager for an urgent, hybrid position based in London. The role involves creating and implementing sustainability initiatives that ensure compliance and competitiveness within the industry. Key responsibilities include managing EPR schemes, enhancing sustainability reporting systems, and producing effective management reports. Candidates must possess extensive experience in sustainable development and strong project management skills. This contract role is expected to last for 6 months with a daily rate between £300 and £370.

Qualifications

  • Up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Support long-term sustainability targets and ad-hoc projects.

  • Manage extended producer responsibility (EPR) schemes and facilitate vendor training.
  • Enhance sustainability reporting systems.
  • Oversee sustainability projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Set measurable sustainability targets and produce reports for senior management.
