Job description
Overview

Woodbank House is a supported living accommodation giving care and support for 16 adults with mental health issues. It is situated centrally within Omagh. Woodbank House provides 24-hour staff support services, 365 days a year, supporting tenants to develop skills and get involved in day-to-day decision making.

Responsibilities

The role involves providing care and support to tenants in a 24/7 setting and assisting with daily living activities, enabling residents to participate in day-to-day decisions and develop skills.

Qualifications and Experience
  • QCF/NVQ 2 Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • 6 months experience in a formal care/support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities/mental health issues
  • Must be currently registered with NISCC or, if new to the sector, must achieve registration within 6 months
  • Or 2 years’ experience in a formal care/support role* and previous experience of working with individuals with Learning Disabilities/Mental Health issues
  • Must be willing to work towards the completion of relevant qualification
  • *Formal Care / Support may include caring at home, where the carer is in receipt of Carers’ Allowance. Formal Care / Support may also include voluntary work in a formal setting.
