Overview

Experienced Support Worker required to work in a supported living service for learning disabilities, based in Shoeburyness, Essex. Note that our client does not offer sponsorship at this time.

Basic salary £25,417.60 per year. With sleep‑ins your estimated earnings will be £27,494 - £29,725 per year.

Candidates will need to live within a half‑hour commutable distance to Shoeburyness.

This position is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week contract and will include day, weekend, and sleep‑in working. Sleep‑in shifts are paid in addition to the basic salary at £5.00 per hour. Overtime is available.

Shift Patterns
  • Early Shift: 07:00 to 15:00
  • Late Shift: 15:00 to 23:00
  • Sleep In: 23:00 - 07:00
Responsibilities
  • Provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards under the direction of the service management.
  • Support and enable adults to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person‑centred care.
  • Support adults in maintaining their tenancy.
  • Maintain skills at a current level, and undertake such training and development as required to maintain and progress knowledge.
Qualifications
  • At least one year’s experience working as a support worker. One year of care experience is desirable.
  • Required: DBS check (register with the DBS update service if the role requires it).
