Overview

Radis Community Care is looking for dedicated and resilient people to join our Woodland Court Extra Care scheme in Dewsbury as Support Workers. Our aim is to provide high-quality care guided by our values of kindness, compassion and respect, to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

About the role

As a Support Worker in our Extra Care Scheme you will support the elderly who are finding it difficult to cope due to physical frailty, enabling them to maintain their individuality and vital independence. You will help residents with restricted mobility to move to dining areas at meal times, to communal areas for social activities, and to the privacy of their bedrooms and bathrooms when requested. You will assist with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene and dressing, with a focus on privacy and dignity. You will have opportunities to participate in physical and mental stimulation through recreational and social activities with residents, and provide a supportive presence even on challenging days.

Shifts:

Full-Time Shifts: 07:00 to 14:00 and 14:00 to 22:00 (working every other weekend as part of your rota).

Part-Time Shifts: 16:00 to 19:00 (working every other weekend as part of your rota).
