A community support charity in North London is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to help individuals with learning disabilities and autism. The role involves developing care plans, providing personal care, and facilitating social activities. Ideal candidates will have a good command of English and interest in supporting diverse communities. Full training provided. Flexible working hours, including weekends, required.

Salary: £12.39 p/h unqualified or £13.22 p/h qualified
Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire and Edgware, North London
Contract type: Part-time and Full-time (37.5 hrs per week)

The role will include supporting our members in designing and developing their support/care plans and providing social, health and personal care. Support Workers will be expected to work flexible hours which will involve working early and late shifts, including sleep in’s, weekends and bank holidays in accordance with member need.
The successful candidate will be required to work individually and as part of a team to support and enable individuals to live as independently as possible by assisting individuals to develop new and existing skills. They will also be responsible for working with our employment team to facilitate employment opportunities, and with our programming team to assist and support our members to enjoy an active social life.
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, you must have a good standard of written English. Previous experience of working with adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism desirable but not essential. Full training will be given to the successful applicant.
