Overview

Role: Support Worker

Location: Across the North West of England and North Wales

Pay: £15 - £20ph

Hours:

  • Long days (8am - 11pm) and sleep in
  • Shorter day shifts with varied times
  • 12 hour shifts 8am - 8pm or 8pm - 8am
About the role

These roles will be working with children and young people with a range of Mental Health issues. You will be required to have experience working in a similar role. These positions are on a 2 to 1 basis.

Duties
  • You will be required to ensure that children and young people are provided with the highest quality of care possible and to assist them reaching their fullest potential.
  • To ensure children's safety and well-being is appropriately protected at all times
  • To provide high standard help, care and support
  • To enable clients / families or children and young people (as appropriate) to enjoy a range of food and support them to buy their food from various places including markets/ super markets or specialist shops

The young people involved in these placements can have a range of needs, including:

  • Challenging & aggressive behaviour
  • Learning disability
  • Autistic Spectrum Condition
  • ADHD
  • Personality Disorder
  • Self-Injury
  • M.H diagnosis
  • Victims of the range of abuses
  • Inappropriate behaviours
Criteria for these roles
  • Child and Adult DBS - on the update service
  • Previous Experience in a similar role
  • NVQ Level 3 in childcare or equivalent (desirable not essential)
  • References covering the last 3 years
