Job summary

A leading care provider in the UK is seeking support workers to join their team in Swindon. The successful candidates will assist individuals with mental health support needs and autism, helping them live as independently as possible within their own homes. Responsibilities include encouraging active community participation, supporting daily living activities, and maintaining accurate records. A competitive wage of £12.50 per hour along with career development opportunities will be offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 months right to work.
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health support needs or autism is a plus.

Coate Lane - Swindon

This is a 5-bed supported living service for gentlemen with mental health support needs & autism, this service supports the individuals to live within the community and gain essential life skills around activities of daily living to enable them to move on to more independent living in the future.

Offering supporting living, encouraging and enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and accessing the local community & facilities.

We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;

  • Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
  • Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
  • Communicating – effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
  • Engaging – promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
  • Specialising – supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
  • Recording – keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
  • Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
