Support Worker – Learning Disabilities & Autism (St Helens Area)

Location: St Helens

Hours: Flexible shifts between 08:00–22:00 + (Apply online only) Nights

Salary: £12.30 per hour (Point 1)

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

We are recruiting Support Workers to provide person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs within a supported living environment.

Your role will focus on promoting independence, wellbeing and community inclusion. You will support individuals to live fulfilling, meaningful lives and develop their skills, confidence, and daily living abilities.

This involves a blend of practical, emotional and personal care support, including working with individuals who may present complex behaviours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build warm, trusting and professional relationships
  • Promote independence, daily living skills, emotional wellbeing and personal growth
  • Support with personal care, medication administration and domestic tasks
  • Encourage participation in social, leisure and community activities
  • Work within person-centred plans and adapt support to changing needs
  • Support individuals who may present challenging behaviours using appropriate strategies
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to support planning and reviews
  • Safeguard service users and follow all health & safety requirements
Work confidently during lone-working shifts
  • Provide support with mobility needs, including hoists and wheelchairs where required
Shifts Available
  • 08:00–15:00
  • 14:30–22:00

Shifts run 7 days a week and require flexibility.
