A charitable organization in Newark on Trent seeks a compassionate support worker to assist individuals with learning disabilities in their home and community. Candidates should hold a valid UK driving license and be open to flexible shifts. Experience is desirable but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided. Perthyn are a large not-for-profit charity who provide support to people with learning disabilities. We deliver person-centred services, encouraging individuals to live as independently as possible within their home and community.
Support workers are required to work with a couple of gentlemen with a learning disability, who present some challenging behaviours within their own home in Sutton on Trent, Nottinghamshire. Experience is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given to the right applicant. The ideal candidate should hold a current and valid full UK driving licence as the gentlemen supported enjoy going out to socialise. Interests include: walking, gardening, arts and crafts, listening to music, healthy eating, cooking, watching films, going to the cinema, bowling, safari parks, visiting safari parks and visiting family etc.
