Job description

We're looking for a kind, flexible Carer or Support Worker to help two sociable young men with complex health needs live life to the fullest at home in Mansfield. We are twin young men with complex health needs who live at home with our dad and friendly dog. We're sociable, love music, laughter, and time outdoors, and use wheelchairs and specialist equipment for mobility. We're looking for a caring, reliable Personal Assistant to join our friendly close-knit team, mainly for waking nights with some day shifts. The role involves personal care and clinical support including tracheostomy and suctioning, PEG feeding, and seizure monitoring. You'll be joining a supportive home care setup where our dad takes an active, hands-on role. It's important that you're comfortable working within a family home, following guidance while being proactive and confident in your care.

You'll be caring, reliable, and confident supporting complex needs clients. Experience with tracheostomy, cough assist, PEG, or epilepsy is helpful, but full training and ongoing support are provided. If you're warm, flexible, and want to make a real difference as part of a family team, we'd love to hear from you.

Solo Support Services recognises that everyone has the right to be safe from abuse and neglect. We will actively promote the safety, health and well-being of everyone in our care by fostering an honest, open, caring and supportive climate within the organisation. We believe that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

In return for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:

  • 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part‑time positions).
  • Company pension scheme after 3 months' service, subject to the scheme rules.
