Job description

Looking for a new part-time role with satisfaction you'd struggle to find anywhere else? You're in luck as we're now on the look out for a new *female colleague to join our amazing #TeamKeswick on a part-time (24 hours), permanent basis.

The team and the individuals you'll support

You'll become part of a warm, friendly and dedicated team who supports two fun loving ladies with profound learning and physical disabilities who live in their own shared home. The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same.

Your main aim will be supporting each of the ladies with their day to day needs, including personal care, shopping, finances, cooking, housework and medication.

You’ll also provide support with their hobbies and interests too, including music, films, in-house activities, baking, going for walks and arts & crafts. As both ladies love to get out and be part of their local community you’ll also find yourself getting involved in activities like going to the cinema, discos, going for walks and day trips too.

As both ladies have their own mobility cars, we are ideally looking for drivers, however this isn't a deal breaker for the right candidate.

About you

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) and yearly SSSC registration fees too!

All we’ll need you to bring is:

  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Great communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
  • Confidence in the use of computers
Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns include early mornings, days, evenings, waking nights, weekends and public holidays.

Waking nights are paid at your normal hourly rate plus an additional payment of £20 per night.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

We are looking to fill these vacancies as soon as possible and reserve the right to close our advert early if we find suitable candidates before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

Please note - If if you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany. Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre‑employment checks.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
