Overview

Supply Health and Safety Officer, City College Norwich
Variable hours per week, 52 weeks per year
£16.17 - £19.15 per hour including holiday pay.

The CCN Health and Safety Team is looking for a health and safety professional to assist with duty of care and compliance checks that need to be carried out with employers before students can start their industry placements. Placements span sectors such as construction, engineering, catering, beauty, agriculture, floristry and more. You will gather key information, apply health and safety knowledge, and advise on the suitability of the placement.

You will need to hold a NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum and have access to your own vehicle. Experience carrying out workplace safety inspections is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritise and organise your workload are key aspects of the role. Demand for work placements varies across the year, with the autumn period being the busiest and workload extending through late April and May before summer.
