Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Temporary Supply Chain Planner to cover maternity leave in Daventry. Temporary Supply Chain Planner (maternity cover)

Location: Daventry – hybrid 3 days in the office currently, usually Monday and two other days.

Working hours and pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 8.30am – 5.00pm Monday – Friday with 1 hour for lunch.

Salary: £35,000.

Candidate Profile / Role Details
  • MS Dynamics visions, Excel, AGR data planning systems used in this role, experience in this would be great.
  • Demand forecasting and supplier interaction experience.
  • Has experience of placing order expediting, chasing deliveries and closing inventories.
  • Experience working with the sales team.
  • Displays enthusiasm and drive.
Key Role Responsibilities
  • Managing stock levels and forecasts to meet availability targets and inventory value KPIs.
  • Leading all aspects of planning and forecasting for assigned supply chains.
  • Maintaining planning systems at code level, capturing assumptions (e.g. market trends, launch plans).
  • Monitoring purchase orders and expediting where needed.
  • Managing forecast changes with suppliers and customers to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Improving stock metrics, reducing over/under stocks, and recommending inventory investments.
  • Generating and using exception reports to optimise performance.
  • Resolving invoice discrepancies, credits, and returns.
