Job description

Pyramid8 are recruiting a large manufacturing organisation based in Scunthorpe for a Supply Chain and Dispatch Manager to join their busy production site.

You will be responsible for delivering a smooth efficient running operation for all raw materials and dry goods intake, ensuring quality standards are met and adhered to at all times, and to control the timely dispatch of finished goods ensuring integrity of supply chain system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of the supply chain and freezer/dry goods warehouse ensuring timely delivery, dispatch and quality of all goods so as not to compromise production or the customer.
  • To maintain and develop the standards of health and safety, environmental and welfare of all personnel within the team including visitors, contractors & customers.
  • Track and have a clear plan to hit all KPIs related directly to the intake/dispatch process.
  • Liaise regularly with contracted hauliers and cold stores, maintaining stock volumes, rotation and on time in full (OTIF) deliveries.
  • Manage Vehicle fill utilization to a minimum of 98.5%.
  • Management of personnel ensuring sufficient availability of trained team members to intake and dispatch at the correct standard, whilst delivering labor efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean as you go policy in all areas of responsibility ensuring hygiene, housekeeping and quality standards are adhered to at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with Internal teams and external partners, ensuring handovers are clear and action led.
  • Maintain systems and data integrity to ensure an accurate inventory position.
  • Adhere to all organisational policies and procedures including Food Safety and Health and Safety legislation requirements.
