Responsibilities

• Manage and support the Operations activities in the Quarry according to Operational Excellence principles in a safe way.
• Manage Quarry activities to develop a safe working behaviour.
• Drive continuous improvement activities. Monitor and review subcontractor activities.
• Control waste management.
• Ensure a safe work environment by following Sibelco safety regulations and taking a Zero accident approach with regards to Operational safety.
• Drive actions to deliver a competitive cost position, reduce costs, increase yield, deliver better value products and improve processes.
• Deliver KPIs as required.
• Execute operational activities within the budgeted Opex and Capex prescriptions.
• Achieve yearly COS budget.
• Manage, evaluate and develop team members.

About you

• Practical understanding of the industrial mineral industry.
• Good knowledge and understanding of local Quarry regulations and permit policies.
• Strong communicator and team leader.
• IT literate and good understanding of financial principles.
• Proactive, pragmatic and self-motivated.
