As a Channel Manager for Sun Video, you will be responsible for publishing, optimising, and growing The Sun's video presence across multiple social platforms, with a particular focus on YouTube. Working closely with the Head of Video Distribution and the Originals Video team, you will combine creativity with data-driven insights to maximise content performance, expand audience reach, and deliver measurable impact.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Publish content directly to a range of social accounts (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook), maintaining a consistent brand voice.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Video Distribution to develop and execute a YouTube growth strategy aligned with The Sun's editorial priorities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand audience reach and increase engagement through YouTube features, including metadata optimisation, thumbnails, and strategic publishing.
  • Work closely with the Originals Video team to maximise content performance and support new formats.
  • Analyse performance data and audience insights to refine strategy and report regularly on channel performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective cross-platform promotion of video content.
  • Deliver regular reports to internal teams, clearly communicating performance, insights, and recommendations.
