Job summary

A leading contractor in the utilities sector is seeking an experienced Sub Agent for a 10-month contract in Birmingham. The role involves managing on-site operations, coordinating with engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures. Candidates should have proven experience in water or civils environments and relevant qualifications. Offers include competitive daily pay between £380 - £480 on an outside IR35 contract. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer within water, utilities or heavy civils environments.
• Strong understanding of pipelines, drainage, treatment works or related civils packages.
• SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred.

Overview

A leading contractor within the water and utilities sector is looking for an experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery of a major civils programme in Birmingham. This is a 10-month assignment operating outside IR35, available on a CIS or LTD basis.

Role Responsibilities

• Assist the Site Agent in managing day-to-day on-site operations
• Coordinate engineers, subcontractors and suppliers
• Oversee quality assurance, technical delivery and site documentation
• Ensure all works comply with health and safety procedures, RAMS and quality standards
• Support progress monitoring, reporting and programme management
• Contribute to problem-solving, planning and risk management activities

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer within water, utilities or heavy civils environments
• Strong understanding of pipelines, drainage, treatment works or related civils packages
• SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred
• Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills
• Ability to start immediately or at short notice
