Location: Northwich, Crewe, Winsford, Middlewich, Cheshire, Study Programme Centres.

Employment: Full‑time, permanent | 37 hrs Mon‑Fri 9am to 5pm.

Salary: £30,720 incl. car allowance + excellent benefits.

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Classroom Tutor to support students aged 16‑24 with additional needs, including social, emotional, and special educational needs (SEN). The role requires a passionate individual who is committed to creating an inclusive, supportive, and engaging learning environment for students, particularly those with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). You will play a key role in helping learners achieve their personal and academic goals while promoting their social and emotional development and enhancing their opportunity to progress into employment.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with learners, parents/carers and local authorities.
• Provide tailored academic and emotional support to students with additional needs, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Offer one‑on‑one and group support to students with SEN, ensuring they have the resources, guidance, and encouragement to succeed.
• Implement strategies from individual EHCPs to support students' specific needs and track their progress.
• Foster learners' social and emotional well‑being by offering guidance, encouragement, and building positive relationships.
• Assist with classroom management, ensuring a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where all students can thrive.

About You

• Experience working with young adults with additional needs, including those with social, emotional (SEMH) challenges (education, care or study programme setting).
• Knowledge and experience in supporting learners with SEN.
• Passionate, organised and learner‑focused.
• Strong communication skills with a supportive, empathetic approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and learner welfare.
