Overview

Are you ready to put your studies into practice and make a meaningful contribution from day one? During your twelve-month placement, you will join our Technical Operations team, supporting the manufacturing of solid dose oral products. You’ll gain valuable, hands-on experience in a collaborative and professional environment, helping to deliver high-quality pharmaceutical processes.

Technical Operations works closely with departments both on-site and off-site to support tablet formulation, manufacturing and packaging. The team provides expert guidance to maintain and improve production processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

Organon is recruiting for a STEM student to join us by the beginning of August 2026 for 12 months for a student placement to join our world class manufacturing site in Cramlington, Northumberland.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing of solid dose oral products.
  • Assist with process improvements, validations, and sampling activities.
  • Support annual product and cleaning reviews.
  • Contribute to equipment performance reviews, selection, installation, and testing.
  • Investigate and resolve issues from manufacturing, or lab results.
  • Assess impact of supplier changes on site operations.
  • Support new product introductions through technical assessment and project work.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and GMP standards.
  • Complete and record GMP training; perform duties in line with training and procedures.
  • Report any GMP violations or concerns affecting product safety or quality.
Education & Skills
  • Working towards a STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Maths).
  • You will be looking to complete a 12-month placement in your third or penultimate year of study, returning to your course at the end of the placement.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Application Process Timeline Overview
  1. Stage 1 – Submission of CV and Cover Letter (by 31st October 2025)
    Candidates will be required to submit their CV and cover letter.
  2. Stage 2 – Initial Informal Discussion (Between 3rd November – 17th November 2025)
    Candidates will be selected and invited to take part in an initial informal discussion about the role, as well as an opportunity for you to find out about the company.
  3. Stage 3 – Assessment Centre + Final Interview (Week commencing 24th November 2025)
    Candidates successful at stage 2 will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre, located on site at Cramlington. Candidates will spend a day at the facility, getting a feel for Organon as well as taking part in several activities including a site tour and a final interview.
