Role Summary

The College of Life and Environmental Postgraduate Student Ambassador is a key support role for the College. Ambassadors are employed to support young people during activities and offer advice and knowledge to future students, their parents and teachers. The role may also require the writing of blogs and further online content.

The role involves supporting the College Marketing and Communications team in marketing initiatives with the aim of encouraging prospective students to apply to Birmingham and offer holders to select Birmingham as their Firm Choice.

The role may cover working across a wide variety of platforms and activities including Unibuddy, The Student Room, Facebook, Instagram, Zoom webinars, phone calls and videos.

The position does not guarantee a regular number of hours per week. The hours are ad hoc and variable depending on the number of positions available and shifts assigned (notified in advance) and on an Ambassador’s availability around studies.
