Overview

Construction Recruitment Services are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Structural Steel and Fabrication Estimator to join our team based in Doncaster. You will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of structural steel and fabrication projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for structural steel and fabrication projects based on engineering drawings, specifications, and client requirements.
• Review tender documentation, perform quantity take-offs, and evaluate labour, materials, and time requirements.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with the sales, engineering, and project management teams to develop winning proposals.
• Prepare and submit detailed bid documentation and reports within set deadlines.
• Maintain and update a cost database and pricing history to support future estimates.
• Monitor project budgets and assist with cost control during execution where required.

Requirements

• Proven experience in estimating within the structural steel or metal fabrication industry.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office (especially Excel).
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
