Structural Engineer – Inverness

We are working on behalf of a respected structural and civil engineering practice to recruit a Structural Engineer to join their growing office. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with engineering design experience to work on architect-led projects, building restoration, sustainable design and conservation. You'll play an active role in shaping the regional office, working closely with the team to deliver high‑quality structural solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out structural design calculations and producing markups
• Managing project delivery and liaising regularly with the design team and project manager
• Working with technicians to support drafting and detailing
• Attending site meetings, client and design team meetings
• Undertaking structural surveys and inspections, and preparing reports
• Estimating projects and issuing fee proposals
• Building strong relationships with external contacts and stakeholders
• Keeping your professional development on track and staying up to date with technical changes and legislation

What we're looking for

• MEng or BEng in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Actively working towards or already achieved chartership (e.g., Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE))
• Relevant work experience in structural engineering, ideally in design/co‑ordination roles
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and team‑oriented approach
• The ambition to contribute to the growth of a regional office
