Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a contractor for Structural Design services in Cheshire. The role requires conducting technical site inspections and providing design support, especially using AutoCAD and Tekla software. Preferred qualifications include an HNC in Civil & Structural Engineering and experience on UK onshore industrial projects. This position offers a 12-month contract.

Qualifications

Overview

Location: Cheshire

Term: Contract, 12 months, Outside IR35

Start: October 2025

Workscope

Addison Project Plc require a contractor to provide Structural Design services for a period of 12 months. This scope will be delivered between site in Cheshire where you will complete inspections and surveys for 2 or 3 days per week and Structural Design which will be provided in Daresbury.

Services to be provided

• Technical Structural site surveys and inspections on site in Cheshire, 3 days per week
• Structural 2D design support, Tekla
• Detailing of structural steelwork and concrete, including reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling
• Condition inspection and reporting
• Client liaison

Person Specification

• Minimum of HNC Civil & Structural Engineering level preferred
• Industrial / Petro / Chemical UK onshore project and site experience preferred
• Suitable, relevant and demonstrable structural experience working on UK onshore industrial projects technical competence
• Excellent understanding of building structures and structural/civil engineering
• Fully competent with AutoCAD to the most current version
• 3D Tekla structures / AutoCAD Advance Steel / 3D AutoCAD experience an advantage
• Navisworks and 3D point cloud survey experience an advantage
