Job description

Strip out / Refurb Project Manager

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + package

Location: Oxford

Regions: Berkshire, Birmingham, Oxfordshire, South West, Wiltshire

Our client, a major contractor working across a wide range of sectors, is delivering projects in refurbishments, commercial, structures, and housing. They have a strong track record of delivering award-winning projects and exceeding client expectations.

Due to the successful award of several Strip out / refurb projects across Berkshire, Midlands, and Wiltshire, they are urgently seeking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to lead these projects.

Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful individual will be responsible for:

  1. Managing the day-to-day operations of the project, including all on-site activities and labor management to ensure safe, timely delivery of quality work.
  2. Establishing site setup, managing labor resources and materials.
  3. Managing the commercial aspects of project delivery, including preliminaries, labor allocation, and managing delays or additional works.
  4. Monitoring subcontractor performance.
  5. Preparing and producing progress reports for client and team meetings.
  6. Promoting safety actively among employees, agency staff, and subcontractors, and taking necessary action in cases of safety disregard.
  7. Leading effective progress meetings with the site team and attending relevant meetings.
  8. Providing tailored services to assist clients in developing and managing their projects.
  9. Developing effective working relationships with clients, design teams, and client representatives.

To qualify, candidates must have a proven track record of successfully delivering construction and refurbishment projects up to £10m in value.
