Strategic Project Manager – Healthcare Estate Development

London (Farringdon)

Competitive Salary + Bonus + Benefits

We're representing a leading organisation seeking an experienced Strategic Project Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the long–term vision for their estate. This is a unique opportunity to influence healthcare infrastructure at a strategic level – aligning capital projects, estate planning, and clinical services to deliver smarter, future–ready environments.

The role will see you at the heart of strategic decision–making, identifying capacity constraints, risks, and opportunities across a diverse portfolio. You'll ensure that evolving space requirements are not only understood but seamlessly integrated into a comprehensive accommodation masterplan.

The Opportunity:
You'll work across Capital Projects, Estates, and Clinical Planning, bringing together operational and infrastructure needs across clinical, non–clinical, and community services. Your work will directly impact the way services are delivered for years to come.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a long–term accommodation masterplan aligned with organisational strategy.
  • Lead multi–disciplinary teams to deliver project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare stakeholders, contractors, and consultants.
  • Anticipate risks and implement robust mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain strict quality standards in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Monitor budgets closely and identify cost–saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
  • Lead and inspire project teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Produce clear, concise reports for senior stakeholders and ensure meticulous documentation.

About You

  • Degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field.
  • 10+ years' experience in project management, ideally within healthcare or another complex, high–stakes sector.
  • Strong track record managing projects from feasibility to delivery.
  • In–depth knowledge of UK construction legislation and healthcare design standards (HTMs/HBNs).
  • Experience in live healthcare environments with awareness of infection control and operational protocols.
  • Skilled in planning, scheduling, and resource management with excellent leadership skills.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities and drive new project leads.
  • Competitive salary with annual performance bonus.
  • Private health insurance & life assurance.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • 25 days' holiday + bank holidays.
  • Employee assistance programme.
  • Personalised learning and development plan.

This is an opportunity to take the lead on projects that truly make a difference – where strategic vision meets meaningful impact.
