Job summary

A prominent healthcare organisation in the Midlands is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Estates. The successful candidate will lead the strategic and operational delivery of estates services, ensuring compliance and efficiency. Required qualifications include a degree in estates or facilities management and proven leadership in healthcare settings. This role offers a salary range of £65,821 to £76,033 and a commitment to fostering innovative, inclusive teams.

Benefits

37.5 hours per week, flexible cross-site working
Pension contributions (10% combined employer/employee)
Annual leave: 24–28 days + 8 public holidays (depending on service)
Probation period: 6 months
Notice period: 3 months

Qualifications

  • Degree-educated in estates, property, or facilities management (or equivalent senior-level experience).
  • Demonstrated success in leading estates services within healthcare or complex environments.
  • Proven track record of budget management and strategic planning.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional membership (e.g., CIOB, RICS, IWFM, IHEEM) desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership across all estates functions, ensuring compliance with statutory and organisational requirements.
  • Lead the development and delivery of estates services aligned to organisational strategy and business plans.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, embedding innovation and service excellence.
  • Manage budgets, performance, and governance across estates operations.
  • Act as a visible leader, promoting organisational values and ensuring effective stakeholder engagement.
