Job summary

A local government authority in Bristol is seeking a Strategic Communications Business Partner for a six-month hybrid role. The successful candidate will provide strategic communications advice to senior leaders and lead the communications strategy across directorates. A degree in marketing or communications is required, along with strong skills in marketing principles and multimedia content creation. This position offers a rate of £39 per hour via Umbrella Company.

Overview

We are currently working with Gloucestershire County Council who are looking to recruit a Strategic Communications Business Partner.

Job:Strategic Communications Business Partner

Duration: 6 month

Rate:£39 per hour via Umbrella Company, Inside IR35

Site presence:Hybrid – 2-3 days in office

Responsibilities
  • To provide a comprehensive strategic communications advice and consultancy service to directors, leaders and senior officers across GCC and allocated partners, understanding the business and its future direction in relation to directorates
  • To partner the business effectively by establishing personal credibility and demonstrating the team’s value to business customers
  • The post holder will lead the communications strategy within directorates and will commission and develop strategic and operational communications support and interventions on behalf of allocated services
  • As a member of the Communications Leadership Team, to carry collective accountability for ensuring that the communications function meets the needs of an everchanging council
