Job description

In this role, you will be responsible for managing key strategic accounts, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the Head of Spares and cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives, optimize inventory management, and maximize sales opportunities within your assigned accounts to achieve revenue and market share growth. Your responsibilities will include strategic account management, developing accurate full‑year forecasts, and collaborating with the Supply Chain team to meet customer requirements. You will ensure that customer terms and support plans are delivered in line with trading plans and budget growth objectives. You will also work with planning, marketing, product management, and operations to develop and execute account strategies aligned with Baxi's overall objectives and those of our strategic partners. Additionally, you will analyze new growth opportunities, including potential strategic accounts, and prepare business cases for review and approval.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop key accounts to drive incremental growth across both businesses.
  • Achieve sales turnover and margin targets for each account in line with company expectations.
  • Build a deep understanding of each customer's business and objectives, ensuring value-based selling is central to the relationship.
  • Develop and execute tailored business plans—both strategic and tactical—for each account.
  • Utilize forecasting models and demand planning tools to generate accurate sales forecasts and inventory projections, ensuring alignment with company KPIs, growth targets, and market share objectives.
  • Monitor budget utilization and track spending on customer support, marketing initiatives, and promotional activities. Optimize resource allocation to maximize ROI while staying within budget constraints.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts to assess performance, discuss upcoming promotions or product launches, and address any issues.
  • Communicate effectively with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of agreed activity plans.
  • Develop a contact matrix for each account to ensure regular engagement across all key stakeholders throughout the UK.
  • Identify and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities within assigned accounts to maximize revenue and customer lifetime value.
  • Ensure all activities are accurately recorded in the company's CRM system.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics relevant to your accounts. Use this insight to anticipate customer needs and inform account strategies.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and advocacy through proactive communication, exceptional service, and value-added solutions.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: Proven track record of success in account management or sales, with demonstrable experience delivering profitable growth in a similar role.
  • Analytical Ability: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, generate insights, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Organisation: Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills; able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and consistently drive results.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience within the HVAC or Spare Parts sectors is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of forecasting methodologies, inventory management principles, and supply chain processes is a plus.
