Store Operations Supervisor

Location: CHANEL Head office, London

Reports to: Head of Retail & Store Operations

Contract: Maternity Cover, Fixed-Term Contract, Full-Time until February 2027

Your role at CHANEL

The successful candidate will proactively drive operational excellence in store, being accountable for efficiency and accuracy of day-to-day procedures, processes and governance across the F&B business. This role is also key in providing the Retail teams with the appropriate set of working tools, information, communication, & resources that will enable them to deliver an exceptional service to our clients. The Store Operations Supervisor will build a highly communicative and proactive relationship with the Retail field and store teams, to resolve day-to-day operational issues as they arise.

1. Operational Excellence in Store (Compliance, Processes & Procedures)
  • Drive efficiency and accuracy in day-to-day store operations, upholding the highest standards of compliance in health & safety, security, and company policies.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for store teams on all operational matters, proactively resolving issues and ensuring seamless execution of store processes.
  • Oversee & coordinate internal and external partners (e.g., Queensway OPs team, Neuven, external agencies) to manage stock counts, agency budgets, uniform processes, and maintenance needs.
  • Manage the operations budget for standalone boutiques.
  • Create, manage and maintain Retail Operations Manual, ensuring changes are communicated promptly and accurately.
  • Ownership of end-to-end temp staff process.
2. Training & Communication
  • Evaluate operational procedures and collect data to inform and deliver effective training for colleagues and new hires.
  • Support the planning and organisation of the annual training conference, including logistics and attendee management.
  • Act as a key communicator between store teams, Field team, and central functions (Barlow Place, 5Q), ensuring timely information flow and clear direction for all operational aspects, including new launches.
3. Client Tools & System Management
  • Take ownership of key operational systems (e.g., HUB/Y2), tracking effective adoption and utilisation in-store.
  • Organise and facilitate staff training on till operations, Hub processes, and Chanel procedures.
  • Collaborate with the CRM team to drive the use of clienteling tools and optimise client data requisition.
  • Advise on and implement improvements to client transaction processes, including cash/card handling and client engagement data collection.

  • Previous experience in retail management or retail operations, with a strong solution-focused mindset.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, able to prioritise and analyse operational data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to train and motivate others.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and a proven ability to manage systems and budgets effectively.
