Inventory Coordinator (Fixed-Term Contract - 6 Months)

Jackson Hogg is partnering with an established manufacturing and distribution organisation to recruit an Inventory Coordinator on a 6-month fixed-term contract, based in Wakefield.

This role will provide essential support to the Inventory and Customer Service function, helping to manage stock levels, track inventory movements, and ensure data accuracy to support both operational performance and customer requirements.

The position reports into the Customer Service & Inventory Manager and would suit someone with strong attention to detail and prior experience in inventory or stock control.

The Role
  • Conducting all activities in line with company Health & Safety procedures
  • Preparing month-end inventory and compliance documentation for submission
  • Updating volume forecasts based on input from the sales team
  • Uploading, analysing, and maintaining inventory data to determine stock requirements
  • Raising purchase orders and stock transfer requests
  • Investigating and resolving warehouse stock, batch, and inventory discrepancies
  • Maintaining and communicating out-of-stock information
  • Liaising with suppliers, hauliers, and internal teams to coordinate deliveries
  • Coordinating stock movements with other UK and European sites
  • Accurately booking stock into the company ERP system
  • Filing and maintaining inventory and compliance documentation
  • Providing general administrative support, including phone cover
  • Supporting the wider Customer Service & Inventory team and providing cover as required
Skills & Experience Required

  • Professional, discreet, and confidential approach to work
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
