Overview

You must have an active NMC pin to apply for these positions. There will be opportunities for pre pin nurses in November 2025. We have vacancies based at Queens Medical Centre and City Campus with the option to rotate after the winter season. We are committed to providing the best care for our patients with a stable, well supported and motivated workforce. You will be fully supported with a comprehensive induction and preceptorship.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high quality, dignified care to patients in a safe environment, both autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Care for acutely unwell patients with physical and mental health needs, including palliative care.
  • Assist with admitting and discharging patients, and communicate with families and carers to ensure safe and timely discharge.
  • Collaborate with medics, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, advanced clinical practitioners, psychiatric nurses and discharge teams.
  • Perform nursing procedures such as enteral feeding, wound management, intravenous medications, catheterisation, continence management and nutrition management.
Qualifications and skills
  • Registered nurse with an active NMC pin.
  • Ability to work within a team as well as autonomously; strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in developing the service and contributing to safe discharge planning and quality patient care.
  • Willingness to engage in training and support to develop skills in supporting safe and effective discharge from hospital.
