Overview
SWFT Clinical Services Limited are looking for Registered Nurses to join our bank staff within our private patient unit, The Grafton Suite, at Stratford Hospital in Stratford-upon-Avon.
The role includes preparing clinical environments, maintaining accurate patient records, performing diagnostic and pre-operative assessments (after training), and handling administrative duties such as ordering supplies and preparing charge sheets. The role focuses on supporting the smooth and efficient service provided by the unit to ensure high standards of patient care and consultant satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Ensure clinic is set up to achieve optimum client and consultant satisfaction, with waiting rooms and consulting rooms prepared for appropriate clinics and the theatre prepared for procedures as required.
- Maintain patient notes and keep records up to date; ensure paperwork is completed accurately and on time; provide information and reports concisely.
- Promptly communicate issues to the Clinic Manager.
- Carry out diagnostic procedures as required (e.g., OCT, visual field) after full training.
- Carry out pre-operative assessments as required.
- Carry out administrative tasks such as ordering consumables, equipment and medicines and maintain electronic patient records.
- Prepare charge sheets.
- Maintain professional networks for sharing ideas, advice, information and peer support.
- Assist with reviewing processes, including customer satisfaction and prompt/appropriate responses to complaints, value for money, incidents, errors and product alerts to enable improvements in practice; report these to the Clinic Manager.
- Maintain excellent working relationships and good communications with staff, patients and consultants; ensure confidentiality of information in line with GDPR and FOI requirements.
- Attend meetings as required by the Company.
- Manage own personal development and maintain NMC registration.
- Adhere to Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and all other relevant legislation.
- Perform any other relevant duties at the request of the Clinic Manager or Senior Nurse.
- Follow good infection prevention and control practices in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 and related guidance.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English
- NMC Registration
- Immediate Life Support Trained
Experience
- Theatre or Outpatient experience of at least ONE year
