Job description
Role Overview

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our nursing team in Ophthalmology. This role involves delivering a high standard of care to patients across Fife, rotating through the outpatient area, pre/post‑operative cataract care, and ophthalmology theatres. Travel between the four hospital sites will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Ophthalmology team to provide high quality patient care within the Fife area.
  • Rotate across the Ophthalmology department, including outpatient clinics, cataract unit pre‑ and post‑op care, and theatres.
  • Work within the team and independently, using excellent communication skills.
  • Utilise systems such as TrakCare, Healthcare Portal, Sci‑Store, and Sci‑Gateway.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of TrakCare, Healthcare Portal, Sci‑Store, and Sci‑Gateway.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel between sites as required.
  • Member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme prior to appointment.
  • Legal entitlement to work in the United Kingdom; if not a UK or Irish national, you must confirm your right to work in your application.
Working Hours

0730–1800 hours Monday to Friday.
