A leading healthcare provider seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join their respiratory unit at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. The role involves developing and implementing nursing care plans for patients with conditions including Type 1 and Type 2 respiratory failure. Candidates should possess effective communication skills and promote a strong team environment. Experience in respiratory nursing is preferred. This position offers a dynamic work environment within a supportive team.
It's an exciting time to join us on Kennet/Loddon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, a 50 bedded respiratory unit which cares for patients with a range of respiratory conditions such as Type 1 respiratory failure, type 2 respiratory failure, COPD, Asthma and Bronchiectasis. You will have the opportunity to gain experience with the use of NIV/CPAP, management of tracheostomies, chest drains and managing patients who require nasal high flow.
The post holder is responsible for developing, implementing and reviewing planned nursing care, and for the maintenance of associated records for patients in the given clinical area.
He/she works as an effective team member, assisting in the management and the organisation of work as required.
The post holder displays effective communication skills and works as a role model for good practice, supporting and developing others as required.
