A leading healthcare provider in Cornwall is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical Day Unit. The role involves providing compassionate, evidence-based care for patients undergoing various procedures. MDU is a Planned Treatment Unit. Operating Monday-Friday working hours 07.00-19.30 hrs and we are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse.
The Medical Day Unit is within the division of Specialty Services and Surgery. The Unit is laid out with 11 spaces. Three trolley beds and 8 reclining chairs in a treatment bay. The Unit provides care for a variety of patients from Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Renal, Clinical Sciences, Neurology, Endocrinology, Dermatology Respiratory, Hepatology and supports Research and Development.
The Unit provides therapeutic and maintenance care for patients who are planned to attend for a variety of procedures including blood tests, diagnostic investigations, blood transfusion, infusions, including biologic infusion, biopsy, drains and breath tests.
