Overview

Salary: £28,500 – £37,000 – additional shift enhancements and overtime uplifts for nights and weekends above 15% of the equivalent hourly rate. Bank holidays uplifts will be double time.

In autumn 2021, we’ll open the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s Hospital: The City of London’s only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew’s NHS hospital. This will be our flagship centre for cardiac services and will also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services.

Responsibilities

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and you will be able to support junior members of staff, act as a mentor and role model, manage complex patient care, and support Outpatient clinics. You will support individuals and teams to deliver safe, high quality and effective patient care that is responsive to the needs of our patients and their families. Along the way, you\'ll build strong relationships with consultants, hospital senior leaders, a wide range of healthcare professionals and, of course, patients.

Qualifications

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, with good understanding and knowledge of running various clinics within the Outpatient department. Your training should include, phlebotomy, assisting with minor procedures, ILS and have experience in mentoring. You will also have a good knowledge of Outpatients and will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a busy Outpatient department and working as part of a team. You\’ll be accountable for leading, motivating, educating and supervising junior members of staff and liaising with the multidisciplinary team. Offering full time, part time and bank positions, applicants will be willing to work flexibly across different shift patterns.
