Responsibilities

  • Act as a key contact for internal/external auditors.

Job description

The Sr. HRSS Payroll Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll for entities within OpenText, including country specific payrolls UK & Ireland. This includes using expanded experiences of OpenText's payroll and HCM platforms to perform the monitoring of payroll inputs, reconciling payroll output reports, reconciling benefit invoices vs payroll output, accrual balance analysis & updates, etc.

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Good knowledge of UK and Ireland payrolls, plus other international payroll processing knowledge is an advantage.
  • Enhanced understanding of payroll rules and regulations particular to the country/entity being processed.
  • Monitor payroll inputs either from an HCM system/reports, 3rd party inputs etc. to ensure accuracy for pre-payroll processing and performs corrective actions.
  • Review work against existing checklists, audit reports run prior to processing payroll, and update processing documentation as needed.
  • Obtain appropriate approval to release payroll for processing.
  • Foster/grow contacts with all key stakeholders (HR Tier 1, Employees, auditors, vendors, etc.).
  • Act as a key contact point for internal/external auditors following directions from a Lead Specialist and Sr Payroll Manager.
  • Experience in P11d, PSA & STBV Reporting is advantageous.
  • Excellent track record of payroll documentation and creating process documents.
  • Advance level Excel and Microsoft Office applications is a must.
  • 3-5 years of direct payroll experience in a multi-national company.
  • College diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of country payroll tax processes and requirements.
  • Foreign language skill sets appropriate to the country of hire.
  • Payroll Professional Certification preferred (e.g., FPC, CPP).
  • High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Experience in the following software packages:
  • • Outsourced payroll packages (ADP GlobalView, Streamline, Celergo, etc.).
  • • SAP SuccessFactors HCM.
