EN teaching Assistant

We are urgently looking for people who have a Sport based degree who have a background or interest of working with SEN pupils. Particularly in the Bootle, Southport and Netherton areas.

Your role will be working in a classroom within a specialist SEND school setting often on a one-two or three to one basis with a young person with SEND needs under the guidance of a teacher.

We are looking for people who come from a Sport background who are looking to transfer these skills into the classroom and support children with often complex special needs.

The Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils .
  • Help deliver personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
  • Support pupils' social and emotional development.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils
  • Contribute to a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment.

We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with ASD / SEMH or additional needs.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Strong behaviour management and excellent communication skills.
  • A team player who is also confident working independently.
  • A willingness to learn and undertake relevant CPD.

These roles are based in specialist schools and are term time only. Hours are 8.30am - 3.30pm
