Job Title: Sports Coach LSA

Salary: £90 - £110 per day

Responsibilities

• How do you adapt your coaching style to create an inclusive, supportive environment where all children regardless of ability feel valued and able to participate meaningfully?
• Can you share your experience supporting children with additional needs, such as those on the autism spectrum or with behavioural challenges, particularly in group settings?
• What strategies have you found most effective in gently encouraging children who may be hesitant or struggle with participation in physical activities?

Teacher Active is seeking passionate and experienced Sports Coaches to work with children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Southampton and the surrounding areas. As a Sports Coach in this role, you will lead engaging and inclusive physical activity sessions, while providing personalised support tailored to each student’s needs. You’ll be working with individuals with a range of SEND, including autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), severe and profound learning difficulties (SLD/PMLD), emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD), and ADHD.
