Teaching Assistant - SEMH School (Ideal for Sports Coaches)

Location: Blaby, Leicestershire (LE8)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Daily Pay: 95 - 105 per day
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
Requirement: Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or issued within the last 12 months)

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils aged 4-16 with SEMH needs, both in class and through structured activities.

  • Use your sports coaching background to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience in young people.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.

  • Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and practical learning opportunities.

  • Manage challenging behaviour using calm, consistent approaches.



What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in sports coaching, youth mentoring, or working with young people.

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEMH and/or SEN needs.

  • Patience, resilience, and the ability to build positive relationships.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • An Enhanced DBS (child workforce) on the Update Service - or willingness to obtain one.
