The Opportunity:

Long Term Futures are seeking an enthusiastic Sports Coach with Teaching Assistant responsibilities to support pupils in a secondary school setting in the Enfield area. This role is perfect for someone passionate about sport, physical wellbeing, and motivating young people to reach their full potential both inside and outside the classroom. You'll be working with small groups and individual pupils-supporting PE lessons, leading activities, and assisting across the curriculum where needed. You will join a welcoming, collaborative team committed to active learning and a positive school culture.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of PE lessons, sports sessions, and extra-curricular activities
  • Lead warm-ups, drills, skills development sessions, and fitness routines
    Provide 1:1 and small-group support, including behavioural and pastoral guidance
  • Assist in academic lessons as a Teaching Assistant across KS3/KS4 when required
  • Promote healthy lifestyle habits, teamwork, and positive sportsmanship
    Help plan and facilitate structured, engaging, and inclusive sports activities
    Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure pupil progress, wellbeing, and engagement
Requirements
  • Experience in sports coaching, PE support, or youth mentoring
  • Confident leading physical activities and engaging groups of young people
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
    Enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to supporting the wider school community
  • Understanding of Safeguarding, health & safety, and pupil wellbeing
