Job summary

About the Role

As a Sports Coach, you will work closely with teaching staff to plan and deliver a variety of sports and physical education sessions. You\'ll encourage participation, develop pupils\' skills, and create a fun, inclusive environment where every child feels motivated to take part and achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging PE lessons and sports sessions across all year groups.
  • Promote teamwork, confidence, and resilience through sport.
  • Support the organisation of school sports events, clubs, and competitions.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to integrate physical activity into the wider curriculum.
  • Ensure pupil safety and well-being during all activities, following safeguarding and health & safety procedures.
Requirements
  • Sports Coaching qualification (e.g., Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Learning in PE and School Sport, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong communication, motivation, and organisational skills.
  • Passion for physical education and promoting an active lifestyle.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
